The Norwegian Jazz trio Bushman’s Revenge mixes the energy of Rock with the freedom of Jazz in an exciting and exhilarating way. Formed in 2003, the band has had two decades in which to explore different paths and sounds, and in doing so, succeeding in creating a genre all of their own. A blend between Alice Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Bill Frisell, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Hund, Ennio Morricone, Eric Satie, Ornette Coleman and Albert Ayler is the soundtrack of our lives, and a Bushman’s Revenge concert is a roller coaster of dynamics, moods, weird grooves and organic sounds, wrapped up in mad energy and pure joy!

With 11 critically acclaimed albums under their belt, and more than 300 live appearances throughout the world, Bushman’s Revenge has earned a fearsome reputation, with Jazzwise commenting that they are “Insanely good! As if Jeff Beck was backed by Elvin Jones“, whilst David Fricke of Rolling Stone said that they were “Like a Marshall amp version of John Coltrane’s “Interstellar Space".

The band releases their 12th album; "Ah, Les Vaches" on IsItJazz? Records 29th of May, and we can’t wait to present brand new material for you!

Welcome!

Every hard-rock record should be this explosive. Enthusiastically recommended, obviously". -Stereophile Magazine, US (record of the month)

"Sounds like Jeff Beck being backed by Elvin Jones".

-Jazzwise, UK

"Bass and drums chase Hermansen's impulses as if Jitterbug was a Marshall-amp version of John Coltrane's Interstellar Space".

David Fricke, Rolling Stone Magazine, US

"An absolute blast guaranteed to blow away any lingering winter cobwebs". -

Rock-a-Rolla magazine, UK

«Noen fortalte meg en gang at det finnes to typer hunks i verden: De som ønsker

å være det, og de som bare er det. Og av en eller annen grunn har det alltid

slått meg at musikken til Hermansen, Nergaard og Nilssen går under sistnevnte

kategori…»
